Professional Background

I obtained my doctorate in clinical child psychology at Boston University and have trained as a psychologist in various clinical settings in the greater Boston area. I completed my pre-doctoral training at Massachusetts General Hospital Child Track and my post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology and addiction medicine. Since 2010, I have worked at Massachusetts General Hospital & Harvard Medical School as a clinical child psychologist & assistant professor of psychiatry. For several years I worked at the MGH Child Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Program and the Addiction Recovery Management Service (ARMS), an outpatient program treating youth and young adults with substance use disorders as well as providing parents with guidance.  In 2016, I became the clinical director of the ARMS.

For the past several years, I have also increasingly wondered what my role is beyond the work I do in addiction to address the climate crisis. An issue that is profoundly affecting youth. I have thus expanded my clinical training and background to provide climate-informed therapy and parent guidance to support resilience building and connections with nature to those suffering climate eco-anxiety and distress.

Outside of therapy, I have also trained in the use of evidence-based behavioral strategies to support organizations to implement pro-environmental projects and increase sustainable workflows. Finally, knowledge is power and so I raise awareness about the health impacts of climate change through speaking engagements and writing collaborations. My mission is to do my part to sustain a just, equitable, and healthy planet for future generations.
